The Washington Post recruited a panel of listeners, including musicians, a record producer, and a salesman of high-end stereo systems to evaluate digital music format. The panel tested, among other formats, MP3Pro, Ogg Vorbis, and Windows Media formats. The panel seemed to feel that Windows Media Audio had the best overall sound, but that none of the formats came close to CD quality.
