Adobe asks for charges to be dropped against Sklyarov

Adobe Systems has asked the U.S. government to
drop charges against a hacker accused of
circumventing an Adobe program for electronic
books.

Adobe said the prosecution of a 26-year-old Russian
software programmer “is not conducive to the best
interest” of any of those involved or the industry.”
