After fast kick-off, P2P gets a slow start

ZDNet’s Sm@rt Partner reports on the state of Intel’s P2P Working Group. Launched with much fanfare last October, more than half of the group’s original 18 members have since dropped out — or in one case, gone out of business. Other companies flat-out refused to join, opting to create their own P2P flavors, such as Sun with its JXTA technology.
