Agere to roll Linux chip set

TechWeb reports: “Agere Systems, the former Lucent Technologies
Microelectronics Group, has selected Linux as the operating system to
be used with a new asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) chip set for
residential gateway, home networking and personal computer equipment.”
