AMD offers developer tools for 64-bit chips

ZDNet reports on AMD's preparations for its upcoming Hammer 64 bit x86 processor, specifically VirtuHammer, which the company developed with Virtutech to allow 64 bit emulation on 32 bit processors, so that 64 bit programmes can be ready for the processor when it comes out.
