AMD to unleash Athlon 64 2600+ desktop processor

Anonymous Reader writes "Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), world's second largest chip maker, is planning to announce the company's 2600+, 64-bit processor for the desktop market. This microprocessor will be aimed at low-end or budget-conscious users, who can't afford the company's high-end Athlon FX and 3400+, 64-bit chips."
