Analyzing malicious SSH login attempts
Shawn Hermans writes "SSH is a necessary tool for most system administrators because it allows secure remote administration. The power of SSH makes it a tempting target for attack. The New Zealand Honeypot Alliance set up a computer for the purposes of collecting data on malicious SSH login attempts. After 22 days of operation, their data provides insight to system administrators on the risks of using SSH and how they can use SSH in a secure manner."
