Anti-Linux backlash begins

The anti-Linux backlash began; the director of S2 Intelligence said it was ``ridiculous'' for government to legislate in favour of open source; an S2
Intelligence survey of 70 Australian CIOs indicated open source worked great on servers but might not be for the workplace; publicised a
``Linux on the Desktop'' report that said moving from Windows ``for political reasons or to spite Microsoft can be costly'' and urged businesses to
figure if they will make money from a Linux migration within three years, tops.
