Although users do have a strong influence when it comes to operating systems, developers are truly the lifeblood of operating systems. With users, if they don’t use the OS, then there’s no real sustainability there, but if there’s no solid developer support for a particular operating system, then the company behind the OS is not even going to be able to attract users in the first place.
