Apple, Microsoft: Give Us Better OS Upgrades
Anonymous Reader writes "When you purchase software or hardware that contains software, do you think it’s reasonable to expect free updates to the software? In many cases, this does make sense, but it doesn’t always apply. For example, if a software developer releases a patch that fixes some bugs and other issues that are a part of the software that you purchased, then it’s only right that you receive that update for free. However, if the update includes new features and consists of an updated version, then you may not be entitled to the new goodies unless free updates for a certain period of time are a part of your software registration."
