Jenny McCrae writes “Arcom has launched a new board support package (BSP) Development Kit to support Wind Rivers VxWorks 5.x, the most widely adopted RTOS in the embedded industry. The development kit enables customers to quickly create VxWorks 5.5 based applications using a reliable reference platform and a production ready product. The SBC-GX1 VxWorks 5.5 BSP Development Kit includes a complete BSP to support both VxWorks and Wind ML 3.0. Using the installation wizard and your standard Tornado® II development tools, you can quickly create an operating system image to download into the resident 16Mbyte Flash drive.

The SBC-GX1 is an EBX format (5.75 x 8) single board computer based on the 300MHz National Semiconductor Geode GX1 processor and is targeted at fan-less systems. This board offers CRT and TFT flat panel support, 10/100baseTx Ethernet, four serial ports, and expansion via a PCI slot, CompactFlash socket and industry standard PC/104 bus.”
