AUUG finalises nominations for open source awards

The Australian Unix and Open Systems User Group has finalised its nominations for the second annual Australian Open Source
Awards, a media release says.

There are four awards; three are decided by the members and the fourth by the committee. The awards encourage and recognise the excellence and dedication of Australians contributing in the Open Source arena. Online voting is now underway.

“Winners will each receive a unique and valuable statue, donated by, as a token of the esteem in which the community holds their work,” AUUG president Greg Lehey said.
