Kelly McNeill writes: “On Thursday, I reported that Be’s sale to Palm could not have come at a more awkward time, as the approval for the purchase came just days after Palm’s CEO — Carl Yankowski — announced his resignation from the company. A colleague of mine, Michael Singer, then wrote a companion article, which suggested that Yankowski’s sudden departure from the company might open up opportunity for Be CEO Jean-Louis Gassee to take over where Yankowski left off. If that comes to pass, nothing would be sweeter.”
