BEA Systems, the fifth-largest application infrastructure software company in the world, and one of the few Silicon-Valley-based companies which have a negligible presence in India, wants to leverage the India advantage. However, instead of just setting up a massive captive development centre, it wants software developers to use its platform to come out with applications. The $1bn BEA reaches out to them through its dev2dev workshop which it now conducts annually in India.
