Brazil doesn't sign MS initiative

Anonymous Reader writes "Newsforge had theinquirer.net's story on how Craig Mundie told a Brazilian e-commerce conference that Open Source is killing IT (link here). That's only part of the story. Projecto Software Livre (Free Software Project) reports that on the 17th Mr. Mundie announced that he would be making an agreement with the goverment for MS to provide internet access to poor Brazilian schools. On the 18th he met with government officials but, unlike the previous day's announcement, no agreement was made and the government made no announcement about any MS based program.
