We know geeks, particularly our readers, have the best sense of humor. (See? We do read your comments!) So, to showcase the best of the community’s funny side, we’re soliciting April Fool’s Day articles from our readers.

Write up your best satire, spoof, fake product announcement or review, or other humor piece related to Linux or open source, and send it to editors@ostg.com. Remember that Linux.com is a family-friendly publication, so keep it clean and good-natured. If your submission makes us smile, we’ll run your work on Linux.com, and send you a $100 gift certificate from ThinkGeek.

Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, on Wednesday, March 28. Our editorial team will read and judge the entries and post the winner or winners on Sunday, April 1. See our writer’s guidelines for general length and format requirements.

If humor isn’t your forte, we’re looking for articles for the other 364 days a year as well. If you have something you’d like to share with the Linux and open source community, send a pitch to editors@ostg.com and tell us all about it.
