Building Open Source Communities

Anonymous Reader writes "This report (Concerted Disruption, Climb Aboard) and interview series covers how to engage and maintain Free and Open Source software communities. It starts with an overview of what makes up these communities and explains how companies, users, service organizations, etc. are a part of them and how they benefit from them. It also makes some interesting points on the how this has changed different types of entities in the enterprise software industry. It's a series of articles so this is the first part but the following articles are to include interviews on the subject with people from SourceForge, Subversion, OpenOffice.org, and CollabNet.
