Reasserting its commitment to open source, Computer Associates announced that under its new CA-Trusted Open Source Licence (CA- TOSL), it is releasing its Ingres enterprise relational database in less than 90 days. The company also unveiled the Kernel Generalized Event Management to the open-source community.
According to Sam Greenblatt, CA’s senior vice president and chief architect of Linux Technology Group, Ingres is the best-of-breed relational database in the marketplace and the company is sharing it with the open source community to foster innovation.
