Calif Law Would Eliminate Anonymous Filesharing

Ernest_Miller writes “The California legislature is considering a law (AB 2735 and SB 1506) that would require everyone who “electronically disseminates” copyrighted audiovisual works or recordings to disclose their “true name and address.” Attempted anonymity would cost you up to $2,500 or a year in jail.
