Can a Windows user learn to love Linux?

From ZDNet’s AnchorDesk: “I’m already finding things I really like about the Linux environment. One of them — oddly, given my setup woes–is the amount of control I have. It looks like I could change pretty much anything I might ever want to change, once I learn where everything is and how it works. That’s also the biggest drawback: this Linux system is still way too complex. But it’s working, and I’m looking forward to learning more.” Gee, you’d think David Coursey had already played with Linux once or twice, given he comments frequently about it and he’s supposed to be a major tech journalist-commentator type, but from the looks of this column, apparently this is the first time ever that he’s run Linux on his desktop.
