Carrier grade Linux ready for take off

Sounds good, doesn't it? It's a story at Electronic News Online about Linux in public network telecommunications that says, in part: "In today's challenging economy, equipment providers are being pushed to deliver their next-generation solutions with faster time-to-market and at a reduced cost. In addition, communications carriers are looking for competitive innovationâand that means the freedom to choose best-of-breed hardware and software solutions from a variety of sources. Increasingly the equipment providers are choosing a Linux-based platform as the centerpiece of these new multivendor solutions."
