A "China Linux Standard" Next Year?

Andy Updegrove writes "Xinhua.net, as translated by USITO.org, is reporting that China's Open Source Software Promotion Union (OSS) says it will have a "new Linux standard" early next year. It's also pushing back on the China Software Industry Association's efforts to get the Chinese government to back off its strong support for Linux. the U.S. IT indstry largely got past that sort of behavior a few years ago now. Maybe the OSS could help us out with the Massachusetts government on ODF...."
