China Will Build Up An Anti-Internet-Pirate Platform

Chinaitnews writes “August 3, 2006 Beijing—Yan Xiaohong, the vice director of National Copyright Administration of China, expressed that China was preparing to build up an anti-Internet-pirate platform which could effectively identify whether one piece of software, movie, music or works was legally authorized or not. Yan Xiaohong said that this anti-pirate system would first be used to authenticate software.

Yan admitted that the level of China’s protection of Internet copyrights was still lower than that of developed countries but he also pointed that Internet pirate was a global issue that should be faced by all countries together.

Additionally, the National Copyright Administration of China was arranging to establish a literature copyright administration and an art copyright administration in order to handle authorization issues rosin from Internet world.”
