kelly McNeill writes “Microsoft recently proposed a significant increase in its software licensing fees from as little as 30 percent to as much as 107 percent. As you might imagine, this increase has infuriated IT managers throughout the world. While many have suggested that this is simply another example of Microsoft’s monopoly abuse, others have pointed out that the revised EULA (end user license agreement) is instead opening doors for Apple to sell itself as a low-cost alternative to Microsoft.”
