Millions of IP addresses carry Code Red, which infects computers in order to use them for a potential denial of service attack. This news.com article says the machines are “begging to be used” and that the Code Red virus is still spreading. If so, why have they waited so long to start DoS’ing? Maybe these claims are just so much posturing by security companies in need of publicity.
