bryam writes, “The first program allows a company to highlight its developer community on specific sections of the O’Reilly Network and its affiliated Web sites. These sites contain resource centers that are dedicated to particular technologies, such as: Linux, Apache, MySQL, Perl/Python/PHP (often referred to as LAMP-the open source Web platform), Java, XML, Peer-to-Peer (P2P) networks, or Web Services. Through this targeted outreach, an organization can connect with developers who have relevant interest and experience in a particular technology to increase contributions to its collaborative software development projects. For example, a CollabNet customer establishing a community around a Java application could specifically reach Java developers through the appropriate resource center.” Complete press release at Collab.net.
