Company denies Apple report

Reuters: “Inventec, one of Taiwan’s largest notebook makers, dismissed on Friday a newspaper’s assertion that the company won an order from Apple Computer to make handhelds. Taiwan’s Economic Daily News said Inventec has an order to make 600,000 handhelds a year for Apple, with shipments to begin this quarter.”
