Court put its network at risk

ComputerNewsDaily: “Half of the federal court system’s Internet use by
employees during a recent period was to download movies, music and
pornography, according to an internal memo and sources.

That amounted to a “gross misuse of government resources,” a
high-ranking court official wrote in a memo.

But when warned about that, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court’s judicial
council in San Francisco had a surprising response: It shut off the
system that had detected the improper downloading.”
