Cybersecurity Talk Is Cheap

Anonymous Reader writes “Less than a year after the Bush administration unveiled its National Strategy to Secure Cyberspace, the finger pointing over who is to blame for failing to implement its recommendations has already begun.

Tech leaders in the private sector insist the White House hasn’t backed the plan with solid action. But at the same time, Corporate America appears to be doing all it can to stop the federal government from imposing tough cybersecurity rules on the private sector.

The two viewpoints will certainly collide today at the National Cyber Security Summit in Santa Clara, Calif., where industry leaders are already making their argument that the government is falling down on the job.”
