Mary Edie Meredith writes “Today the Data Center Linux (DCL) initiative of OSDL (osdl.org) announces a public draft of their DCL Goals and Capabilities Document, version 1.2. This is the annual update to the document first published by DCL in 2004. New in this release, DCL has added virtualization as a new technical capability category and has brought back the security category, updated based on an analysis from the OSDL Security Special Interest Group. Technical maturities have been updated based on the Linux 2.6.15 release.”
