Author: JT Smith
Kelly McNeill writes "Sendmail Inc., the company founded by the man who wrote the code for the first e-mail program 20 years ago, on Monday said it will release a version of its e-mail server software for Linux-Powered IBM mainframe computers. Launching its product line on IBM's zSeries mainframe converts Sendmail into the world's largest mail server program. IBM has pushed the Linux operating system on its mainframes for financial reasons -- common software packages like Sendmail are much cheaper than expensive "mainframe-specific" software."
