Solveig Haugland writes “If you’re contemplating a migration to OpenOffice.org, or are having some difficulties with a current installation, you’ve probably sent out a lot of instructions about what the users should do in the new office suite environment. What might be easier and more effective is to simply change the menus, toolbars, and keyboard shortcuts to what the users are familiar with. You might also add GUI elements that make it very obvious what users need to do: add a menu called Receiving Department, for instance. Customization like this is very easy to do in OpenOffice.org.”
