From LinuxPR: Envenergy, a developer of hardware, software
and networking solutions, introduced the Multi-Protocol Exchange (MPX). The
MPX is an embedded Linux system that offers a comprehensive set of
capabilities including gateway functionality, routing, processing, firewalling,
extensive input/output, data acquisition, and control – all within a single compact
unit. The MPX acts as the Facility Systems Agent within a building, allowing
facility managers, system integrators, and service providers to create an
intelligent and manageable network out of different building systems (HVAC,
lighting, access control) and devices (meters, on-site generators).
