E*Trade deploys IBM on Linux for cross-sales

E*Trade Financial Corporation is using IBM's DB2 Universal Database software running on Linux to create a business intelligence
system designed to support cross-sales to its 3.5 million customers worldwide.

E*Trade has installed IBM's DB2 Integrated Cluster Environment (ICE) software, a database cluster running Linux on IBM eServer xSeries. IBM's clusters
allow firms to quickly add servers for additional power during periods of rapid business activity or growth.
