Back in January of this year, I began to use GNOME exclusively on my desktop computer. Prior to this, I have often operated a dual boot system, with
Windows being there for the times when Linux couldn't get the job done. Today however, that is no longer the case. Linux has arrived for me as a
powerful desktop solution. In particular, I have fallen in love with the powerful GNOME desktop platform. This article describes why I like GNOME so
much. I discuss my experiences with GNOME and my particular fondness for the latest version, GNOME 2.6.
