Moving your movies from DVD to a nice, small .avi file is becoming more and more important for legal movie buffs, not just the infamous file sharer bunch uploading pirated movies through Bittorrent. With the growing popularity of entertainment centre PCs, DivX-capable DVD players and USB drives that play Mpeg-4 movies straight from the box, dropping a DVD from 6GB to 1GB is very attractive for those with large movie collections.
