Fighting fire with fire: patenting MS’s bugs!

Kelly McNeill writes “The following editorial is proposing a very clever idea: Because anything software oriented can be patented, and Microsoft is notorious for its buggy software, why not kill two birds with one stone, and start patenting Microsoft’s own software bugs! The fact that they are Microsoft’s bugs, not yours, isn’t any justification for not patenting them. Just ask Amazon, AT&T et al. If enough people get patents issued to them and sue MS for THEIR buggy code, the organizations will throw their hands in the air and repeat the mantra that all of us have been saying all this time… “This is ridiculous. Let’s stop the patent nonsense!”
