Alaa Abd El Fatah writes “Center For Knowledge Society and The Egyptian GNU/Linux Users group are organizing a conference with the title Free/Open Source Software and Development in Shepard Hotel, Cairo, Egypt on the 13t, 14th, and 15th of March.
the main target of the conference is NGOs workin in the development field, specially those interested in ICT4D.
The 1st day is dedicated to panels and case studies.
the 2nd day will consist of technical presentations on key FOSS technologies and solutions.
and the 3rd day will be a Mini-Expo where companies offering FOSS services and and NGOs using FOSS in their work will present their work, EGLUG volunteers will be doing hands-on interactive demonstrations of various FOSS products.”
