Free programmable logic software now on Linux

Anonymous Reader writes “EE Times has an article describing the no-cost version of the Xilinx programmable logic design software for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3, which up to to this time had only been available under Windows.
How long until rival Altera also offers a free Linux version of their software? Until now, both companies have only offered paid versions of their software for Linux along with the free Windows version.”
