The Free Software Foundation yesterday announced the release of gNewSense 1.0, a new GNU/Linux distribution. Based on the Ubuntu and Debian distributions, gNewSense intends to create a version of GNU/Linux that “offers the stability of Ubuntu with the addition of freedom,” according to a statement yesterday.
