Community Edition Now Includes Advanced Enterprise Functionality for 25 Users in Addition to Unlimited Community Users
San Mateo, CA — November 15, 2005 — Scalix, the leading provider of new generation email and calendaring on Linux, today introduced an enhanced version of Scalix Community Edition, the free, unlimited use version of its award winning software. The new version raises the number of users with access to advanced enterprise functionality from 5 to 25 users, making it more appealing and cost effective for small businesses.

Built using AJAX, the highly-acclaimed SWA is one of the most advanced AJAX Web 2.0 clients in the market today. SWA provides the look and feel, snappy responsiveness and rich functionality currently found only in desktop email clients.
SWA is cross-browser and cross-platform, supporting Internet Explorer, Firefox and Mozilla running on Windows, Linux, Macintosh, Unix.
Community Edition also benefits larger organizations as they can freely deploy state-of-the-art email and personal calendaring to all users, inside and outside their organization, including partners, suppliers and contractors, on an unlimited basis, free of charge.
Since its launch in August, 2005, Community Edition has been met with enthusiastic response, with over 6,000 server downloads.
