Give 'Peace, Love and Linux' a Chance

Author: JT Smith

Kelly McNeill writes "IBM, along with its New York-based advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather, has kicked off a new series of ads, dubbed "Peace, Love and Linux," in support of the open-source operating system.

Those living in the New York and San Francisco areas can now see the Linux mascot Tux emblazoned on the side of buildings, along with peace and love symbols, marking the first wave of a new multimillion-dollar marketing effort supporting the free operating system. However, it's not the building ads that are getting all the attention."
