Gloom, Despair and Agony on Me

Chuck Talk writes “Deep, dark depression; excessive misery,
If it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all,
Gloom, despair and agony on me.

If you dont know the lines above, you probably never heard country music or watched the television show Hee Haw named after the braying sound of a jackass. I must confess, I did watch that as a kid, and I do remember watching Buck Owens and Roy Clark sing as well as the above song from the show wherein four men (and if I remember correctly, sometimes women) would poke fun at the everyday mundane miseries of life. If you arent from the South, chances are you never watched that show (I doubt that Hee Haw had a big following in New York, Chicago or Los Angeles).

The reason I am reminded of that song, is the recent sideshow act of the species known as SCOXus executivus (more commonly known as a SCO Group executive) in Las Vegas, Nevada at the recent COMDEX event. If ever there was a country bumpkin playing up the comedy routine, it would have to be the head clown Darl McBride with his death threat act. I am certain that Darl like to play this part up to the hilt, and obviously playing it up to the media.”
