GNUbies: Vagn Scott will give a whirlwind tour of Unix fundamentals

“We are pleased to announce that Vagn Scott will once more speak to the
GNUbies group this Wednesday, July 11, 2001 at the generously provided
space at the IBM building on 57th Street. He will be giving A Whirlwind
Tour of Unix Fundamentals(including, of course, GNU/Linux) with examples
and discussion (see below for details).”

Vagn has spoken at a previous GNUbies meeting and his exceptionally lucid
and thorough explanations allowed attendees of all levels to learn a great
deal of value. We are fortunate to have him agree to return and speak to
the group again.

Biographical information provided:

"Vagn Scott did his first stint as a unix admin in 1983. He has worked as
an application programmer, system programmer and sys admin at various
points in his career. He discovered linux in 1993 or so, and has been using
Linux as his system of choice ever since.

He will be discussing unix fundamentals and answering any questions the
best that he can."
