Andrew Mancey writes “On May 29th mini-expo on Linux in Guyana drew several hundred visitors – a surprise as Linux is not well known in this small South American country. While only a short one day rather informal event it was reported in a local newspaper three days running. Visitors included local companies, students and housewives. Many requested copies of software.
The expo was organised by the Guyana Linux Users Group and hosted by a section of the Ministry of Education.
