Hacking Blackbox with bbconf

Chuck Talk writes “I have been busy working with Blackbox, digging into the process of building styles of my own to suit my needs. I still haven’t quite learned how to package a style for distribution, but I am working on it. One of the more interesting tools I have come across (and have built into my Blackbox instance now) is bbconf, a GUI configuration tool to allow you to set parameters within Blackbox quite easily. bbconf (proper case – it’s Linux after all) is written by Ben Jansens and Jason Kasper, and it is impressive. The tool allows plugins to be written quickly and easily which can control a number of the aspects of the Blackbox window manager as well as external Blackbox programs such as bbapm, bbmail, bbweather and bbpager.”
