From humor site Segfault: “Hewlett-Packard announced today, in the shadow of its recent $25B purchase of Compaq, that it will purchase Atari for $2M in
stock in a bold move to increase employee morale. Bruce Perens, HP Senior Strategist and open source advocate, points out that “This acquisition also opens the door for HP to
become a leader in the growing home console market. For the first time, HP has a viable competitor to the closed source X-Box
platform.””
