Ian Bell writes: “I just read an article over at CBS Market Watch about how Hewlett Packard family members that control over 100 million shares of the company will vote against Hewlett-Packard’s proposed purchase of Compaq Computer. Family members only own about 5% percent of the overall shares, but this is enough to make it difficult for CEO Carly Fiorina to convince skeptical shareholders. This would make HP very unattractive to investors and would only contribute to any problems already mounting up.”
