How IT companies can prepare for labor shortages

Author: Ian Palmer

Just because projections for skilled labor shortages
are commonplace doesn't mean that all companies will
have to struggle with the consequences should the pool
of available talent dry up nationwide, according to
sources.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics has projected that by
2010 there will be 22 million new jobs but only 17
million persons to fill them, and people3 has
announced that firms currently making use of the
plentiful supply of skilled IT workers should be
employing workforce planning processes in preparation
for the upcoming talent shortage.
