The use of Linux in currently available notebooks is still hampered by numerous restrictions, as a survey in the current issue of c’t Magazine 9/05 shows. Hewlett-Packard has now set out to remedy this state of affairs: Before long a special Ubuntu Linux version is to support in all respects the hardware of a number of HP notebooks.
